Bryce Kraeker is a partner in Gowlings’ Waterloo Region office. He is head of the business law department and a member of both the Corporate Finance and M&A Practice Group and the Private Equity and Venture Capital National Practice Group.
Bryce’s practice is primarily transactional and focuses on helping Canadian and international clients buy and sell businesses and raise money. In particular:
Bryce assists buyers and sellers (and their special committees) in the completion of their domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions. Bryce has extensive experience in structuring and executing both friendly and hostile take-over bids, plans of arrangement and amalgamations, public and private share or asset purchases, reverse take-over transactions and proxy contests.
Bryce has become a trusted advisor to the boards of directors of a number of public and private corporations and business trusts and is routinely called upon to discuss and advise on corporate governance best practices and policies, directors duties and liabilities, continuous disclosure obligations, insider trading policies, executive and equity incentive compensation plans and related party transactions.
