SVP Teens Community Grant – Application & Information

Applications are now closed
for the SVP Teens 2021 Community Grant.

Applications may be submitted until April 7 – read the application package here.

SVP Teens, a youth-led program that engages teens aged 12-18 in hands-on fundraising and grant-making, seeks applications for their annual Community Grant (valued between $6,000-$8,000.)

The goal of SVP Teens is to get youth involved in philanthropy, and instill in them the desire to continue to be involved in their community throughout their lives. In meetings from September to June, teens raise funds for their grant and learn about issues in our community.

The participants fundraise, volunteer, write grant guidelines, evaluate applications, and read financial statements in a process that mirrors the adult SVP grant process. Together, the teens decide what issues to focus on and where to award their grant.

Questions? Please contact Jill, SVP Teens Coordinator.

The SVP Teens are seeking applications from any registered charity based in Waterloo Region, with the majority of their services focused within the Region.

Organizations may serve a specific geographical area within the Region, or the Region as a whole. The charity’s programming may serve populations of any/all ages.
