James has two decades of experience in consulting services at EY. He works with large, multi-national clients solving business problems with a focus on innovation and disruptive technologies. Walton has significant experience across several industries including consumer, advanced manufacturing & mobility, and technology. He has led complex programs and engagements across Risk, Finance, IT and Operations functions and brings a specific focused on data, analytics, intelligent automation and blockchain.
James has worked for EY in Dallas, Texas and London, England after starting his career with EY in Chicago, IL. During his career at EY, James represents the firm in the community through leadership of teaming events, roles on boards and volunteer leadership roles. These include Bachman Lake Together, Reading Partners North Texas, the American Heart Association, Make-A-Wish North Texas, MS Society, United Way Metro Dallas, and many more. He is a graduate of the Leadership Dallas program and a community champion within the EY Dallas office.
James is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Masters in Accounting from the University of Notre Dame as well as a Bachelors in Marketing and Management Information Systems from Miami University.
James lives in Richardson, Texas with his wife, Marissa, and their three children. He enjoys coaching youth sports, cycling, camping/kayaking and the occasional golf game. In his remaining free time, you can find him working on a puzzle, putting together Legos or playing games with his kids.
James has a passion for community engagement with a focus on early childhood education. He volunteers in the community with organizations like the YMCA, Bachman Lake Together, Reading Partners, All Saints Catholic Church, and Boy Scouts of America, where he combines his time, treasure and talent to have a positive impact on his community.
