Tony Fundaro, Vice President of Development

Tony has proven leadership ability with 18 years of experience helping non-profits and businesses create, strategically plan, and execute the vision of an organization through a high value on relationship building and collaborations, fundraising, and people development to build great organizations and local community enrichment.

Most recently Tony was the Global Lead and Senior Director of Meeting Professional International Foundation, the largest association of meeting professionals with a 60,000-global community in 24 countries. The MPI Foundation mission is to fund education and pan-industry research in the Meetings and Events Industry that drive the success of meeting professionals around the globe. He is also the 2016 – 2017 volunteer President for the Dallas Mayors Star Council, and co-founder of the emerging leaders event Engage Dallas, and the DART Bus Stop Project.

He is the founder and was the Executive Director of Life in Deep Ellum, a community cultural center, built for the artistic, social, and economic benefit of Deep Ellum, a vibrant historical art community of Dallas. Tony also founded Life Communities a non-profit that focused on community development in ignored urban communities around the globe. He was the proprietor and operator of two coffee houses/art galleries/music venues in Dallas, Insomnia Coffee House and Art Cafe and Mokah Coffee Bar.

He lives with his wife Martina, and three wonderful children Samuel, Sofia, and Leo in East Dallas, where he is locally involved in various volunteer community projects.
