Kevin Muskat is a Market Segment Leader of the Southwest Region in Retail/Consumer Products/Industrial Products for Ernst & Young
Kevin has over 20 years of transaction, finance and accounting experience, including approximately 15 years in the Transaction Diligence practice of Ernst & Young. He has participated in due diligence and acquisition advisory engagements for private equity investors and corporate acquirers, both on the buy side and sell side. While Kevin’s expertise in the M&A lifecycle relates to financial due diligence, the deals he is leading many times include various other EY M&A capabilities, including investment banking, strategy consulting, tax diligence and structuring, valuation, integration and other sub-service line specialties (i.e. HR, FCPA, IT, Cyber, RE, etc.)
Kevin’s experience includes over 300 deals spanning a wide range of industries, including retail, consumer products, industrial products, transportation and logistics, manufacturing and distribution. His prior experience includes finance roles, including Director of Finance, at various wireless telecom start-up companies. He joined each at early stages, performing roles related to finance, accounting, human resources and general administration, facilitating growth both in headcount and global locations. One of these start-ups was acquired by Cisco Systems, Inc., where he spent a year in the Finance group. Kevin began his career as an auditor in a Big Six accounting firm where he served large and small companies.
Kevin received a Masters in Professional Accounting, as well as a BBA from the University of Texas at Austin and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a member of the Texas State Society of CPAs and the AICPA.
