A four-year college isn’t for everyone. We recognize that some young adults will thrive in careers that require technical education rather than a liberal arts or science degree.
For students seeking career-focused preparation at a community college or training institute, SVP sponsored a scholarship program called Venture Scholars.
With our support, talented young adults received up to $4,000 to spend toward their technical or professional education. Students are eligible to apply for the scholarship if they are high school seniors and plan to complete a one-to-three-year career-focused program in a community college or training institute, with the goal of entering the workforce upon graduation. Applicants also must have a 2.5 cumulative GPA. To stay eligible for the scholarship during their post-secondary study, students must stay in their training program, take a full course load, and maintain at least a 2.5 GPA.
