Imagine Black presents: The Black Radical Imagination

Join Imagine Black in celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the release of Freedom Dreams: The Black Radical Imagination. This conversation welcomes scholar Robin D. G. Kelley, poet aja monet, speculative design strategist Joy Alise Davis, and political educator Ekundayo Igeleke as they discuss the power of the Black radical imagination. The panel will discuss topics like abolition, Black queer feminism, surrealism, visionary organizing, and how liberatory movements and mindsets intersect with the Black experience.

Latino Network: Noche Bella

The goal for this year’s Noche Bella is to raise $450,000 which would be a record number for Latino Network! The success of this event will provide the resources to continue to deliver the much-needed programs and services to families recovering from the impacts of the pandemic.

This training is for current SVP Partners and Encore Fellows. SVP Portland is committed to a learning culture and creating more equitable outcomes in our community. 

As a Partner, you have the opportunity to engage with nonprofits who partner with us in this mission, and who represent diverse perspectives and cultures, and ethnic and racial backgrounds. After completing this workshop, you will learn essential soft skills to engage in the nonprofit sector, and inclusively work in our Community Partner spaces with racial consciousness and cultural relevance.

TASTE for Equity

November 18

Join TASTE for Equity on November 18, 2022 for a celebration of the ongoing equity work in Portland.

The Gala will showcase a diverse group of local chefs, winemakers, brewers, spoken-word artists, musicians and speakers. We’ll honor a variety of local equity heroes, spotlighting how the Portland Metro region is leaning into love. All proceeds from event sponsors supports local culturally specific and equity-based nonprofits.
