Today, we’re looking back on the far-reaching impact of Catapult, our longest running program. Through multi-year Catapult investments, local nonprofits benefit from SVP’s pro-bono business consulting services designed to strengthen organizations from the inside out.

“We inform and inspire change within and among the organizations we serve,” says CEO Joshua Silberstein. “Over the past 20 years, we’ve helped more than 30 organizations improve their board governance practices, focus their fundraising, and create or strengthen their organizational strategy, communications, technology infrastructure, and more.

“From leadership development to financial support, we provide a platform for change among the nonprofits we work with. We’re so proud of the countywide impact of our keystone program, paving the way toward greater diversity, equity, and inclusion in our community.”

He adds, “In our efforts to support local nonprofits with a variety of programs and resources that strengthen strategy and management, Catapult matches our experienced Partners with nonprofit leaders to help them accomplish their goals for greater organizational and community impact. It’s gratifying.”

Current investees include the Longmont Community Justice Partnership (LCJP), YWCA Boulder County, and Impact on Education.

“Working with SVP is transformative, really helping us to scale and make the most of our resources and assets,” says LCJP Executive Director Kathleen McGoey. “We hold the promise and potential of not only affecting systems change locally, but also serving as a national model. In a word, SVP is helping us to mature.”

Agrees Tim Russo, KGNU Station Manager, in summarizing KGNU’s recent completion of the Catapult program. “In our relationship with SVP, we grew as an organization in several important ways. We identified the need for systems work in our organization – that is, clearly identifying at the onset of our partnership with SVP that improving our systems and processes would improve our capacity and impact.”

Since the founding of SVP Boulder County in 2000, alumni Catapult investees also include – among others – these diverse Boulder County nonprofits:
