Jake and Breana met in 2010 when they were studying at the University of Waterloo. They hit it off quickly with a combined love for the outdoors, sports, animals, and a passion for pursing big dreams. They were married shortly after graduation in May 2015.
Fast forward three years later and with a BASc in Electrical Engineering, minor in Management Sciences, Jake is now a Project Specialist Engineer at Toyota Motors Manufacturing in Cambridge. As a Professional Fundraiser, Breana spends her days engaging alumni and friends in support of the School of Accounting and Finance at the University of Waterloo, as well as in a volunteer capacity with Canada’s National Ballet School and as Chair of the Bereaved Families of Ontario, Mid-Western Region.
Both Jake and Breana were highly involved in sports growing up. Jake, as a competitive curler and Breana as a competitive gymnast were immersed in community activities and fundraising from a young age, often attending community events with their teams, or raising money for their team’s travel, programs, etc. As adults, this has translated into a passion for supporting their communities and giving back by using their professional skills and passions to inspire others and working together towards creating real change and impacting lives.
As SVPWR Partners, Jake and Breana look forward to the opportunity to work with so many passionate individuals, all committed to making a difference and spreading the joy of philanthropy!
