SVP Teens

SVP Teens is a leadership and community development program for youth aged 13-19 in Waterloo Region.

Through discussions with community leaders, volunteering, fundraising, and grant-making, SVP Teens offers its participants:

  • Insight into social issues facing our community;
  • Leadership and teamwork development;
  • Diverse volunteer opportunities;
  • Opportunities to work with other teens who are interested and engaged in our community.

The program runs September to June each year, with meetings usually once a month.

Our next meeting is in March – check SVP Teens’ Instagram for details.

SVP Teens has an application process designed to match teens with roles that will be best suited for them. Everyone is welcome to join. Applications are now closed for the SVP Teens team for the 2020-21 school year, but you can reach out to our team to find out how to get involved.

We ask that all participants are thoughtful, hardworking, responsible, open to others’ ideas and confident in their own, and interested in learning more about our community.
