SafeOnline Education Society educates children and youth on the safe and responsible use of all forms of digital communications and social media. Since 2002, the organization has reached 85,000 British Columbians through a variety of school workshops on safe internet use. SVP Vancouver is working with SafeOnline to develop a business plan and fundraising strategy, improve its IT management systems, implement new educational sessions, and execute a communications and marketing plan. In 2014, SafeOnline refreshed their branding, deployed 10 campaigns, and adopted an online database and campaign management system. SVP’s 2015 grant of $30,000 will enable SafeOnline to expand their School Based Internet Safety Programs and Personal Development Workshops and Consultations, increase revenue and improve financial sustainability.
SVP Grant Commitment: $90,000 over three years (2013 – 2015) with generous Co-Funding from the PNG Foundation and the BPS Group.
