Join Us in a Call for Action and Collaboration
MUNICIPAL AND LOCAL
Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, SVP Vancouver has been in close contact with the City of Vancouver as well as the Vancouver Foundation, the Vancity Community Foundation, Vantage Point, and other community organizations. Collectively, we recognize that supporting Vancouver’s most vulnerable populations—both immediately and through the period of recovery that will follow—requires a collaborative approach.
Whether helping to direct funds or to connect organizations with the partners and resources they need to develop innovative new services and systems of delivery, we are committed to working collaboratively to find solutions and support members of our society in need. If your business or organization would like to be a part of these discussions, GET IN TOUCH.
FEDERAL AND PROVINCIAL
The COVID-19 pandemic is having a major impact on the non-profit sector, crippling non-profits’ ability to sustain services to vulnerable children and families. SVP Vancouver is doing everything we can to support our community of Investees. One critical contribution is to engage federal and provincial politicians in an effort not only to secure funding for the charitable sector but to open dialogues between government, funders, and non-profits so that we can work together to find collaborative solutions.
We have penned an open letter to the Prime Minister to lend our voice to the growing chorus of calls for action.
We have penned an open letter to the Premier of British Columbia to seek discussion and collaboration in support of B.C.’s non-profit sector.
Please share these with your networks and help us get the message heard. We invite SVP Partners and Investees as well as community organizations and the non-profit community at large to use our letters as a template. Copy the text, revise, and send your own version to the Prime Minister’s Office at email@example.com or the Premier’s office at Premier@gov.bc.ca.
By adding your voice, you will strengthen our cause.
