Next Steps for our 2-Generation work:
Ciara shared three critical steps SVP is taking to move forward with our 2-Gen focus.
1. Welcome 2 new Nonprofit Partners in 2020. Make Way for Books to begin partnership immediately, and a second coming later in the year
2. Develop a 2-Gen Brain Trust to learn and incorporate best practices into our 2-Gen coalition
3. Convene Nonprofit Partners around 2-Gen programming within their organizations and creating collaboration between them
Connie Hillman Family Foundation Challenge Grant:
Ciara celebrated that our Hillman Challenge Grant been extended for another year and is now ending on October 31, 2022. All new and increased gifts will be matched. We’ve raised $150,000 in the first 6 months of the campaign! Thank you so much Partners; we couldn’t do this without you.
Fast Pitch 2.0:
After five years of successful Fast Pitch programs, we are taking time to revamp and refresh this transformative program to make it better than ever before. Look for Fast Pitch in the spring of 2021!
SVP Impact Award:
The SVP Impact Award is selected by the Board Chair, Anne Maley, and is given to a Partner who goes above and beyond in their SVP Tucson work. Anne was delighted to announce this year’s winner is Cande Grogan. Congratulations Cande!
