Fast Pitch 2019 Applications Now Open!
Southern Arizona nonprofits that want to hone their fundraising message and expand access to donors and sponsors can apply to participate in the Social Venture Partners (SVP) Tucson Fast Pitch mentoring program.
Fast Pitch, in its fifth year, trains nonprofits to deliver their fundraising message within three minutes and to emphasize key points that resonate with target audiences. Fast Pitch also coaches nonprofits to strengthen their communication skills and build connections with donors, sponsors and the community at large.
SVP Tucson will select 15 nonprofit leaders based on their innovative approaches to creating social change and their potential to benefit the community. Selected nonprofits will receive training and mentoring over two months from volunteer business, marketing and coaching professionals on how to succinctly and powerfully “tell their story.” Two-month program culminates in a Fast Pitch competition: a high energy, rapid-fire presentation during which seven finalists, in just three minutes each, share their mission, vision and impact with judges and an audience of 500. This year, Fast Pitch finalists will compete for more than $80,000 in grants, prizes and donations. The Fast Pitch showcase, which features as keynote speaker the Alliance of Arizona Nonprofits CEO Kristen Merrifield, will be held on November 7, 2019, at the Leo Rich Theater at the Tucson Convention Center.
