Owen is an aspiring societal architect and draws his passion from helping build up organizations and communities in order to maximize their positive impact on society. As a business transformation and operations specialist, he has worked with organizations of all sizes and types. He holds the role of Vice President of M&A Integration Management at NFP, bringing together the operations of new acquisitions. Previously, he spent multiple years in PwC’s advisory practice working on M&A, technology transformation, and strategy projects. Owen also brings not-for-profit experience to the team, having previously been the Executive Director for the national chapter of a global non-profit and served as Board Vice-Chair for Propellus (former Volunteer Calgary).
Owen strongly believes in the venture philanthropy model as a means to move the needle for the social sector and increase the generosity of the community, and as such got involved with SVP to help strengthen that community. He currently leads SVP Toronto’s philanthropic efforts as the Board Chair. He also looks forward to supporting Investees through the planning and management of large-scale organizational changes.
When he has a moment of downtime, his favourite place to be in the outdoors. The ideal weekend is to get away from the city and go hiking, biking, camping, and/or portaging in and around the lakes of Ontario.
