Zachary Smith is the Co-Founder of Catalyz, a company dedicated to helping organizations make innovation a core part of their culture. A technology and innovation leader with product development and consulting experience, Zachary has worked with a wide range of industries and organizations including startups, Wall Street banks, automotive manufacturers, enterprise software platform providers, creative agencies, and large consulting firms.
Zachary speaks at conferences, teaches, and facilitates workshops on topics including Lean and Agile software development, leadership, design thinking, and innovation.
In adition to his work with SVP, other community focused projects include co-founding the Seattle Design Thinking & Innovation Collective, founding the Farnam Street Readers group, and serving on the board of AIGA Seattle as Director of Technology.
Zachary was born and raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan and relocated to Seattle in 2000. Zachary is married to fellow SVP Partner, Alex Mertens and the two live in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle.
