Marjorie has served as in-house counsel for non-profit organizations in New York City, including the Vera Institute of Justice, MDRC (social policy research), and John Jay College of Criminal Justice. Early in her career, she worked as a legal services lawyer within the Navajo Nation, AZ, and as a litigation associate at the Seattle law firm MacDonald, Hoague & Bayless.
Marjorie was a member of the team that created the nation’s first social impact bond demonstration project, at Riker’s Island in New York City She also participated in the steering committee for the pay for success feasibility study to expand effective home visiting programs in Washington State. She serves on the Board of Directors of the New York City Criminal Justice Agency.
Marjorie is excited to join SVP as it will enable her to continue to support organizations that seek improvements in the systems of social, criminal and environmental justice.
