Janet Levinger is a Social Impact Leader in the Seattle area. Her vision is to create opportunity through engagement, advocacy, and philanthropy. Her focus areas include education, civic engagement, and reproductive rights.
Janet has been an SVP partner since 1997. She served on the SVP Seattle board from 2009-2015 and was its board chair for two years. She currently chairs the Outreach Committee and serves on the Diversity, Cultural Competency, and Equity Committee. She has previously served on many other committees including new grant committee, the Education Collective Action Team (EduCAT), fund development, finance, executive, strategic planning, and the advocacy and policy committee.
Janet is deeply involved with three former SVP Investees: She is Fund Development and Communications Chair of Thrive Washington (www.thrivebyfivewa.org) which focuses on ensuring all children in Washington State are ready for success in school. She is immediate past chair of the League of Education Voters Foundation (www.educationvoters.org) which advocates for excellent and equitable education. And she is a founder of and immediate past board chair of Eastside Pathways (www.eastsidepathways.org ), a collective impact effort in Bellevue, WA. Additionally, she serves on the boards of The Seattle Foundation (www.theseattlefoundation.org) and the Center for Reproductive Rights (http://reproductiverights.org/). She was appointed to the King County Children and Youth Advisory board. She has previously served on the boards of United Way King County, the Foundation for Early Learning, Child Care Resources, the Children’s Alliance, and Bellevue Schools Foundation.

When not advocating for better opportunity for children and women, she enjoys cooking, bicycling (on a tandem with her husband), traveling, and SCUBA diving.
