Ivan is a Lecturer and Assistant Director at the University of Washington Foster School Of Business. In this role, he designs and leads management education programs for business entrepreneurs and graduate students. Prior to joining the Foster School, Ivan worked as both a consultant and a director for a variety of national organizations, including the U.S. Congress, IDEO, The National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals, College Summit, Harvard Business School, The Pahara-Aspen Institute, and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
Ivan has focused his career on expanding educational opportunities and creating leadership development programs to ensure people from all backgrounds are able to realize their true potential. He has worked on creating and launching a variety of recognized leadership and professional development programs including, The University of Washington Leaders Program, The College Summit Institutes in Florida and Connecticut, The Pahara-Aspen Next Gen Network, and most recently the Business Growth Collaborative at the University of Washington Foster School of Business. He has received several honors and awards, including the Public Policy and International Affairs Fellowship, The Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute Fellowship, The Institute for Educational Sciences Fellowship and most recently the Education Pioneers Fellowship. Ivan received his Master’s in Public Policy from Harvard University and is currently completing a Ph.D. in Education Leadership and Policy at the University of Washington. Ivan was raised in in Mexico City and in Seattle. In his spare time Ivan enjoys working on real estate investing projects, running and playing tennis.
