Carey joined the senior management team at Lease Crutcher Lewis in 2007 as Director of Marketing which includes brand management, business development, sales strategies, employee programs and support for various strategic initiatives. Lewis is a regional general contractor founded in 1886 and is known for building several landmark projects such as the Sea-Tac Airport, The Four Seasons Hotel, and the Garfield High School renovation.
Her passion for sports led her to take an early career job with the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Organizing Committee. She worked in venue planning and development and was the Assistant Venue Manager for the field hockey competition. After business school and two years in package goods’ marketing for General Mills, Carey joined the burgeoning cellular telephone industry and held a variety of positions over ten years including VP of Marketing for the NW Region, Verizon Wireless.
Carey completed the Leadership Tomorrow program in 2004, and has been active on the boards of Girl Scouts of Western Washington and Lakeside School. She currently serves on the Micro School subcommittee and as Chair, Development and Communications committee for Lakeside.
A Seattle native, Carey enjoys active outdoor sports such as biking, tennis and boating. She holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a BA from Princeton University. She lives in Redmond with her husband Dave and they have two daughters.
