Originally from the midwest, Anna Zheng is a UX/UI & Visual Designer, Design Instructor at Flatiron School, writer and artist with a passion for teaching design and combating systemic and institutional barriers. With a B.A. degree in Gender Studies and a background in equity and advocacy work, they are passionate about accessible, equitable, and inclusive design. This inherent desire drives them to constantly challenge their biases and barriers as a designer and human.
Their work has been seen in multiple galleries in Washington and New York. Embodied Viscera, a self-published collection of poems, explores how intersectional identities can influence the way we navigate the world, specifically in higher education. As a co-founder and creative designer at cozey studio, a design and development studio, Anna and their co-founder partner with founders, startups, and organizations to consult on product development and design.
During their downtime, Anna attends meetups about design ethics and accessibility, and helps run the Asian Creative Network in Seattle. As a founding member of this community, they believe in carving space for creativity, stories, resilience, and vulnerability.
