Amy HyunAh Pak has 20 years creating impact in Seattle through community organizing, mental health counseling with DV/SA certification. Pak consults with local schools and organizations on anti-racist trainings and family engagement. Pak received a Master of Social Work from the University of Washington in 2004. She is the founding Executive Director of Families Of Color Seattle (FOCS), connecting parents to build a loving community of families of color. Seattle Human Services Coalition awarded FOCS The 2016 Ron Chisom Anti-Racism Award.
Pak’s leadership has impacted UW Office of Minority Affairs & Diversity, Asian Counseling & Referral Services and numerous non-profits. Pak’s work has also been featured in Red Tricycle’s Seattle’s 13 Power Moms, ParentMap’s, “Someone You Should Know,” The Seattle Times, International Examiner, Seattle Globalist and NPR’s KUOW.
