Organizational Messaging Strategy, Open Arms Perinatal Services

Through support provided by the Satterberg Foundation Open Arms Perinatal Services will begin work on updating and refreshing their organizational website. As part of this initiative the organization is looking for a volunteer or volunteers to work with them to: 1) hone and improve the messaging and language used on the new website; 2) help to develop new organizational collateral; and 3) provide advice around next steps for a marketing campaign.

Open Arms is a well-regarded community-based organization. To date, their strong reputation among the communities they reach and in the field of perinatal services has carried their messaging needs. But, as the organization has grown in reach and sophistication there is a need to enliven their website and produce new organizational collateral that more accurately captures their rapidly changing programs. Effective messaging around Open Arms’ work, impact and the compelling stories of their beneficiaries will be crucial to their efforts to attract new funding and build new partnerships

Examples of work to be performed

  • Review existing website language and collateral materials and provide revisions that hone and enhance message for a wider audience
  • Conversations by phone or in-person
  • Provide recommendations for collateral (either printed or electronic) that meet organizational needs
  • Guidance on next steps for developing a full-fledged marketing plan

Desired deliverables

  • Identification of key organizational messages
  • Revised language for the new website
  • Content for collateral
