The Southeast Seattle Education Coalition (SESEC) is looking for a skilled volunteer with a legal background, and knowledge of nonprofit law specifically, who can provide advice around legal considerations when it comes to advocacy and lobbying work. SESEC, and some of its partner organizations, are moving into advocacy work more and more, and they would love advice about issues they need to be considerate of to make sure they’re complying with state laws around and making sure they are properly protecting themselves.
Examples of work to be performed include:
- Meet with SESEC Executive Director for background information
- Provide guidance on legal considerations
- Offer to be a standing resources as questions arise
