Open Arms Perinatal Services is currently recruiting for a volunteer with finance expertise who can support the organization’s financial planning while Open Arms works to identify a permanent Board Treasurer. The volunteer would:
- Provide the agency with higher level finance analyses and board-level oversight needed to augment the basic bookkeeping skills and financial reports from the agency’s current contracted bookkeeper
- Consult with and mentor Open Arms’ new Executive Director to increase her facility with financial management and budget preparation and management, including the development of cash flow and budget projections to better inform the Board on a regular basis
- Provide on-going finance literacy education to the current Board members, including an increased understanding of agency finance reports and budget oversight
The desired outcome for this project is increased capacity on the part of both the Board and the new Executive Director to manage the agency’s finances effectively and pro-actively.
