Washington Green Schools (WGS) is looking for a skilled volunteer to work with their staff and Board leadership to help the organization’s Board develop into a more mature and diverse board that can help WGS realize its long term vision.
The organization would like support in conducting a comprehensive board assessment that will help to prioritize Board development opportunities, and be used in the development of an implementation plan. Areas of focus would likely include governance, board expansion, and board communications.
Illustrative tasks may include the following:
- Research best practices from similar organizations
- Interview key board and staff members to appreciate organizational culture, understand organizational competencies to inform implementation plan
The desired deliverable for this project is a comprehensive board assessment highlighting strengths, areas for improvement, and recommendations on priority areas for development.
