Our Mission: Our mission is to create and distribute affordable, easily administered rescue drug auto-injectors that can save lives.
What inspires you most about the work you do? The opportunity to save lives while addressing an existing societal pain point, the high price of life saving pharmaceutical products, inspires our team to fulfill our mission. We want to help create a world where accessibility to life saving medications is improved so that people can help manage the health needs of their families and for our society, which are facing public health crises like the increased prevalence of life threatening allergies and the opioid epidemic. These issues impact everyone and people are dying due to information asymmetry and inequitable access to life saving medications. Being able to save lives and make a difference with a novel, affordable and innovative solution inspires our team.
What’s next for your organization? Out team aims to get our medical device ready for the market. We will proceed with filing our product as a medical device with the FDA with plans to get our product ready for release by 2018. Medical devices can often reach the market in a matter of months and many do not need a prescription. We also aim to develop a philanthropic component to our company so that we can donate our product to patients in need, both locally and around the world.
What have you learned from the SVP Fast Pitch process so far? Our team has learned many valuable skills related to pitching an idea. Words are precious and telling a story is an incredible skill needed to help the public identify societal problems that need to be solved. With a story you can paint a different set of possibilities that can transform society while finding the supporters to help make this vision become a reality.
What are you most excited about on October 24th? We’re most excited about pitching to an audience that wants to help improve society. We have a story we want to share and we need people to understand our solution can help solve existing problems in society that are growing in awareness and are related to the inequitable access of healthcare and life saving medications.
