Our Mission: HandiMaps is a technology brand aiming to gain independence for its users. We will provide knowledge on accessible travel in any event space.
What inspires you most about the work you do? Having the opportunity to use technology to help someone keeps me inspired to work every day. Throughout the development process, I’ve had the opportunity to meet some amazing people who have accessibility impairments. I’m excited to be able to provide a solution that will give them the independence to attend an outing on their terms.
What’s next for your organization? After the competition, HandiMaps will continue to develop our navigation software. Working with our partner venue, we will begin our first field tests in the near future.
What have you learned from the SVP Fast Pitch process so far? From the SVP Fast Pitch competition I have had the privilege of learning firsthand how great the Seattle social venture community is. It has been such an incredible opportunity to develop a pitch with a dedicated team of coaches and then have the ability to showcase that pitch to a curated audience.
What are you most excited about on October 24th? On October 24th I am most excited to share the HandiMaps vision with the Seattle community at large.
