The Big Idea
“My idea is iRummage, which will allow schools to run online rummage sales and also let kids get business experience. It’s basically a platform where you can buy and sell used goods, except the money will go to a school – whichever school the person who is selling it is associated with.”

My school hosts a rummage sale every year for just a few days, but they accept donations throughout the year. It is an effective way to raise money, however, it has many logistical issues. Our family donated quite a few things to the rummage last year and that got me thinking about the logistics issues and with that iRummage was born.”

The Fast Pitch experience
“I’ve learned a lot about writing a pitch and incorporating a story into it; how to make it relevant to people, how to make it short.”

Press Coverage
GeekWire interviewed Belle Pan three days before the Final Showdown:
Meet the 13-year-old entrepreneur who wants to raise $100 million for Washington schools

…Pan has big plans for iRummage. “One of the goals that we have is to train 100,000 10-year old CEOs,” Pan said. She also said the program could potentially raise $100 million for schools in Washington state alone.
