Equity Matters Series: Spring Session
May 5 @ 4:30 pm - May 19 @ 8:00 pm
Racial equity is a skill that requires ongoing practice. In this interactive workshop series we’ll look at how our individual actions and biases impact our work in organizations and deepen our understanding of systemic racial bias through a historical to present day look at policies and practices that produce unequal access to opportunity and power based on race.
In this 3-part series, participants will engage in conversations about how racial inequities show up in our communities and systems, particularly in the education arena. We will also explore what we can do as individuals and as an organization to work towards creating environmental equity through our actions and philanthropy.
• Participants will gain a deeper understanding of individual bias and systemic racial bias
• Move from knowledge to practice using tools to examine organizational processes and practices.
Up to 20 Partners are welcome to participate as a cohort. You must make the commitment to attend all 3 sessions.
The series will be facilitated by CiKeithia Pugh of Equity Matters.
