The holidays are here and the new year is just around the corner. This is the season for reflection and celebration – and what a great year it has been!
I am proud to share with you just a few of the highlights of 2018 – including the over 3,000 hours of pro bono support provided to our community, and the addition of 72 new Partners to our partnership. You can learn more about the impact we’ve had together below.

By the Numbers!
Together, we have invested $560,000 of general operating grants to support nonprofit organizations in our community! These investments were amplified by over 3,000 hours of skilled volunteerism.
In 2018, we have been proud to support our multi-year investees: Children’s Alliance, Communities in Schools, East African Community Services, Futurewise, Open Arms Perinatal Services, Sound Discipline, Southwest Youth and Family Services, Spark Northwest, and Washington Green Schools.
This year we celebrated the culmination of five years of investment with Transportation Choices Coalition and welcomed our newest multi-year investee, Washington Building Leaders of Change (WA-BLOC)!
Our Environment and Education Collective Action Teams also invested in: Front & Centered, Puget Sound Sage, Seattle University Youth Initiative, Skyway Youth Network Collaborative, Spark Northwest, ECOSS, Somali Parent Education Board, Southeast Seattle Education Coalition, and Toxic Free Futures.
We are deeply proud of the dedication and impact of all of our Investees, and we wish them all the best for 2019!
The 2018 SVP Fast Pitch began with over 70 extraordinary innovator applicants. 450 community members, business leaders, and activists came together to cheer on social innovation at the SVP Fast Pitch Final Showdown.
More than $228,000 in cash prizes and pro bono services were awarded to the innovators of this year’s cohort.
105 partners served on SVP grant committees, communities of practices & more! Partners participated in nearly 46 SVP trainings, workshops and panel sessions, investing in their own philanthropic education.
Plus, we welcomed 72 new SVP Partners!
