Social Venture Partners San Antonio hosted a strategic planning workshop for the leaders and staff who are building one of our city’s most exciting entrepreneurship programs for youth – the Raising and Inspiring Successful Entrepreneurs (R.I.S.E.) program through the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. The curriculum was created for elementary aged youth as a workbook they complete with parents or a mentor.
On the website (https://www.sahcc.org/programs/rise/) you learn the “R.I.S.E. Workbook is easy to use for parents/families/community organizations and elementary school kids, bilingual, and it is FREE! With R.I.S.E., we hope that both children and adults can learn life skills that will help them prepare for the 21st century mindset and help them prepare for the workforce.More than 1500 books have been distributed in the first year to families and through nonprofits who are partnering with them.”
If you would like to share the workbook, download it on the web page listed above.
The program was created under the leadership of former Chairman for the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and SVPSA Partner, Erika Prosper Nirenberg and is funded through private donors. SVPSA is providing funding and consulting to them and is committed to helping them increase their capacity so more youth and families can benefit from the program.
