The Leadership and Entrepreneurship Public Charter High School (LÊP High) is a new kind of high school that blends interdisciplinary classes with college preparation, financial education, internships, and business training.
At LÊP, courses are integrated so that students finish not only with a high school diploma in-hand, but also a start on college and real-world experiences. LÊP’s intimate and inclusive school environment, hands-on, project-focused education, and high expectations motivate students toward a high level of academic achievement and a strong sense of empowerment.
As a high school serving students from around the Portland metro area, LÊP High engages youth that might have dropped out of traditional schools, many of those from families below the poverty line.
SVP Partners are committed to giving these students and LÊP High a chance to succeed. As their leadership puts the polish on their full four-year curriculum, they turn to SVPP for help shoring up the operational details and long term sustainability of the school–so that students, teachers, administrators and educational researchers benefit for years to come by they alternative they offer the community.
