Community Partner Overview
The Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization (IRCO) serves the holistic needs of immigrants, refugees, and mainstream community members in Oregon and SW Washington. As a community-based organization, IRCO empowers children, youth, families, and elders from around the world to build new lives and become self-sufficient by providing more than 200 culturally and linguistically specific social services.
Mission: IRCO’s mission is to promote the integration of refugees, immigrants, and the community at large into a self-sufficient, healthy and inclusive multi-ethnic society.
Vision: To be a leader of community driven, innovative programs delivered by compassionate staff who create equitable services that empower immigrants, refugees, and underserved communities.

IRCO/SVP Partnership: IRCO promotes the integration of refugees and immigrants into a self-sufficient, healthy, and inclusive multi-ethnic society. They envision creating a multi-lingual, multi-cultural model preschool to serve its diverse communities.
After completing research (including a lit. review, site visits, market research and community assessment), we are now focusing on creating a business plan, a fund development plan/revenue model, and organizational strengthening to ensure infrastructure is in place to support this new early childhood venture.
