What’s your story? Every individual involved with SVP has a story to tell about their journey. Those stories and the people who bring them are SVP’s single greatest asset. The key question is, does your journey intersect with ours?

At SVP we believe it is our responsibility as a community to ensure that every child has the opportunity to thrive.

What are your community interests? What are you passionate about?

At SVP we are proud of what we have accomplished since 2001 and motivated by what we can accomplish in the next decade.

What do you want to accomplish in your next decade?

At SVP we believe in making lasting and large impact in the work we do. This means we thoughtfully invest in nonprofits and programs that, with a little help, can sustainably achieve positive outcomes, can scale for greater impact, and have strong leadership.

What criteria do you use in deciding where to focus your philanthropy?

Describe the most meaningful charitable gift, of time or money, you have made and why you made the gift.

How do you know if your giving or volunteering with a nonprofit has been successful?

At SVP we believe that engaged individuals working in a collective fashion – each bringing some mix of treasure, talent, and connections – can change the world. We want to know more about how you prefer to engage.

How do you describe your contributions to good causes? Charity, philanthropy, nonprofit investment, something else?

Do you prefer to volunteer your professional skills or your time?

Have you served on a nonprofit board? Do you find the experience a meaningful use of your time?

Is there another form of nonprofit engagement you prefer?

Let's talk. Thanks for sharing your story with us. Mark Holloway will give you a call to keep the conversation going. You can always reach us at 503-222-0114 or mark@svpportland.org
