Barry Doggett is a member of the Steering Committee for the Academies of Cleveland, a program supporting five career technical high schools in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District. He retired at the end of 2015 as Senior Vice President, Public & Community Affairs for Eaton in Cleveland, Ohio. Eaton is a global $20.9 billion diversified power management company with over 97,000 employees and sells products in more than 175 countries. In this position, Barry had worldwide responsibility for representing Eaton with governments at the federal, state, and local level, as well as overseeing the company’s community involvement and corporate contributions programs.
Previously, Barry was Deputy Director of Cleveland Tomorrow in Cleveland from 1996-2003. In that position he worked with the business community to help support a series of initiatives in the Cleveland Municipal School District to carry out their strategic plan. Prior to joining Cleveland Tomorrow, Barry spent twenty five years with BP America and its predecessor company, Standard Oil of Ohio, covering a broad range of functions and responsibilities including corporate communications, community relations, crude oil trading, chemicals marketing, government affairs, and investor relations.
Barry holds an economics degree from Middlebury College in Vermont and a Masters in Business Administration from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. Barry is married with two grown children, and four grandchildren. He serves on a number of boards and committees for a range of non-profit organizations including the Levin College of Urban Affairs, Cleveland International Fund, LAND studio, Social Venture Partners, and the TreuMart Fund. Barry has been an SVP Partner, along with his wife Suzanne, since 2013.
