Marcia spent her professional social work career at Jewish Family Service Association of Cleveland. Before her retirement, she served as associate executive director following assignments as director of staff education, capital campaign coordinator, staff supervisor, and therapist. A graduate of Northwestern University and Case Western Reserve University’s Mandel School of Applied Social Science, Marcia has been active with a multitude of organizations in Greater Cleveland. Past board service includes Divorce Equity, Women’s Community Foundation of Cleveland, WCPN-FM, ACLU – Cleveland Chapter, Cuyahoga Community College, Cleveland College of Jewish Studies, and Through the Flower (a national nonprofit arts management organization). Today she is president of Cleveland Public Theatre; serves on the visiting committee for CWRU-MSASS; is on the boards of directors of ideastream, Corporate Accountability International, and The Mt. Sinai Health Care Foundation; and maintains volunteer leadership roles with the Jewish Federation of Cleveland and the Greater Cleveland Congregations.
