Cil is the principal & founder of NEO Innovation, a boutique consulting firm dedicated to the development of new service offerings and products for technology start-ups, professional service firms, and nonprofit organizations. By using techniques proven in Fortune 500 companies, NEO Innovation enhances clients’ understanding of unmet market needs required to expand their market presence and profitability.
Cil has over 25 years of diverse experience in product innovation, research & development, market development, business management, and plant operations in the chemical & advanced materials industry sector. After starting her career in research & development with Shell Oil Company, she has held a variety of roles with increasing responsibilities including business development director with the OM Group, vice-president of Product Technology & Innovation at Avery Dennison, manufacturing director at Mannington Mills, plant manager at the Geon Company and global business manager for Shell Chemical Company.
She has parlayed her considerable experience in technology commercialization and making sense of the “fuzzy front end” of the innovation process to develop a set of techniques useful to a wide range of enterprises. These tools are especially useful to businesses requiring clarity and focus on developing new and successful product and service offerings. Through very hands-on, practical workshops and one-on-one coaching sessions NEO Innovation enables clients to learn and incorporate these processes and competencies for themselves. The emphasis is on coaching clients through the challenging process to co-create AMAZING.
Cil holds a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from the University of California at Berkeley and completed the Management Program at the Jones Graduate School of Business Administration, Rice University.
