Deirdre Gannon has 20 years of corporate innovation and technology experience. She is currently Vice President of Business Innovation for PNC’s Enterprise Innovation Team and a member of GLIDE’s Innovation Fund final investment committee. Prior to joining PNC, Deirdre led Westfield Insurance’s innovation subsidiary, 1848 Ventures, where she was responsible for leading a multidisciplinary team in launching new ventures. Deirdre also served as a Vice President at BioEnterprise, a non-profit charged with helping biomedical innovators commercialize new solutions. She was the Business Development Director in the Corporate Innovation Incubator and Director of Strategic Planning at GOJO Industries. In addition, Deirdre worked at a boutique consulting firm focused on adjacency growth for high-tech companies. Cutting-edge work with a major client, Corning Incorporated, was the subject of a Stanford Business School case study.
Early roles as a CPA with Ernst & Young and as a consultant for Fortune 500 companies at A.T. Kearney continue to inform her career today. Deirdre earned a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Miami University and a Master of Business Administration from Case Western Reserve University, Weatherhead School of Management.
Deirdre lives in Shaker Heights. In her free time, she enjoys trail running, hiking, visiting museums, reading, studying social neuroscience, and hanging out with her son.
