Who are they and what do they do?
Over the course of approximately two months, the Fast Pitch Coaches help each of the bigBANG! presenters hone their four-minute Fast Pitches so that they deliver polished, high-energy presentations at bigBANG! These coaches help the presenters tell concise yet compelling stories, stories that will inform and electrify the bigBANG! audience. Elements of the pitch include what the organization does, how they are socially innovative, compelling reasons to provide support, and how others can help.
What do I need to know in order to become a Fast Pitch Coach?
Although experience with speech-writing, executive coaching, advocacy, public speaking, and story-telling is useful, it is not a prerequisite. Great Fast Pitch coaches have the ability to point out areas of confusion and redundancy in a pitch. They tend to ask incisive questions about missing or perplexing information. They serve as a sounding board as the presenters develop their pitches. Above all, they offer their advice with respect and compassion.
