Engage with SVP

We connect people with nonprofits—leveraging the resources of our community to build powerful relationships committed to mutual learning, respect, and social change. We provide a wide range of expertise to collaborate with nonprofit leaders as they navigate organizational growth, development, and change.

In 2022, SVP will offer two different paths for capacity-building support:

  1. Investment Reimagined: This program is a 1-year learning cohort accelerating the growth and impact of nonprofits committed to addressing critical issues facing our region. The program blends 1:1 thought partnership, peer learning, and workshops to support nonprofit executive directors and their capacity-building goals* for their organizations.
  2. FastPitch Coaching: This program supports nonprofit leaders as they craft their stories and share them with the community. The program provides coaching, connections, exposure, & donations for their organizations.

What we bring to the table:

  • Volunteers with a wide range of expertise in both nonprofit and for-profit sectors who will support you as you build and adapt your organization.
  • A commitment to working in partnership. We will listen to you and work with you to further your nonprofit’s vision.
  • The opportunity for your organization to receive unrestricted grant funding.

What we are looking for in a partner:

  • A willingness to share openly and partner with us to find solutions that align with your organization’s goals and your vision.
  • An excitement for the process and the time to work with us.
  • A commitment to calling us out when something’s not working for you. That may be uncomfortable, but our best results come from honest relationships.

* Examples of capacity-building challenges on which we have collaborated in the past include: mission/vision, strategy/planning, program design & evaluation, human resources, executive coaching, IT, financial management, fund development, board leadership, legal affairs, and marketing/communications.
