We are excited to announce WeCareForCLE.org – a new website to help Northeast Ohio’s social sector respond to and recover from the devastating COVID-19 pandemic.
The impact of COVID-19 on nonprofits cannot be overstated, and quantifying that impact is a challenge in itself. Even as our community rallies to support nonprofits with disaster relief, these organizations struggle with measuring and communicating the triple threat of financial losses, disruption to mission-critical programs and outreach, and limitations on safe volunteer opportunities. WeCareForCLE.org is a tool that tackles all of these challenges.
The website consists of the following ways to help:
- Impact Assessment — data and stories about how nonprofits are being impacted
- Ways to Help Now — volunteer opportunities that allow for social distancing
- Call for Donations — easy access to donation pages for a variety of nonprofits
We have launched this online tool specifically for Northeast Ohio nonprofits. The platform is available at no cost to nonprofit organizations and prospective volunteers, thanks in part to SVP Cleveland and Cincinnati-based Inspiring Service, a nonprofit technology provider. Numerous community collaborators—Business Volunteers Unlimited, Candid, Cleveland Leadership Center, Grants Plus, Greater Cleveland Volunteers, Philanthropy Ohio, The Char and Chuck Fowler Family Foundation, The Cleveland Foundation, and the United Black Fund of Greater Cleveland—are also supporting this effort.
We encourage you to visit WeCareForCLE.org and learn how you can support nonprofits at this difficult time through donations or virtual volunteer opportunities. We also encourage any nonprofit leaders who have not yet added their information to the website to do so soon!
