Embarc Chicago

Embarc is a three-year program that provides community-driven, experienced-based learning opportunities to low-income high school students to inspire and prepare them for college and career success.

Metropolitan Tenants Organization

The mission of the Metropolitan Tenants Organization is to educate, organize and empower tenants to have a voice in the decisions that affect the affordability and availability of safe, decent and accessible housing. MTO serves these renters – focusing on low-income households – in three ways:

  • Hotline to educate renters about their rights
  • Affordable Housing Preservation Program
  • Healthy Homes Program

Primo Center

Primo Center for Women and Children provides unconditional shelter and trauma-informed care to homeless mothers and children. The mission of the Primo Center for Women and Children is to empower women and children to become productive, responsible and independent members of their communities.



Project SYNCERE provides STEM programming to youth in under-served communities. The mission of Project SYNCERE is to increase the number of minority, female, and under-served students pursuing careers in the STEM fields. Project SYNCERE provides a curriculum that integrates STEM through the use of project-based learning.

Greater Englewood Community Development Corporation

GECDC serves as a catalyst for economic development, by re-branding, re-building and revitalizing the Greater Englewood Community by building on existing community assets and facilitating ongoing collaboration between residents and other key stakeholders.

One Million Degrees

One Million Degrees empowers low-income, highly motivated, community college students to succeed in school, in work, and in life. From tutors and coaches, to life-skills training and financial aid, One Million Degrees provides our scholars with supports that are critical to their success in the classroom and beyond.
