Meagan Newman is COO at Bartlit Beck Herman Palenchar & Scott LLP, a trial law firm based in Chicago, where her responsibilities include directing day-to-day firm operations, providing strategic business support and serving as firm counsel. Before joining Bartlit Beck, Meagan was a partner and practice group leader at an AmLaw100 firm and an adjunct faculty member at Chicago-Kent School of Law. Her practice focused on catastrophe response and workplace safety.
Meagan currently serves on the board of The Honeycomb Project, a family volunteering organization dedicated to informing and inspiring the next generation of civic leaders. She also co-chairs the Chicago Bar Association/Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana Project Law Track which introduces Chicago-area young women to careers in law.
Meagan received a BA from the University of Michigan with a concentration in ethics and philosophy and received her JD from the University of Maryland. She lives in Evanston with her husband and three children.
