Chris Morgan has been recruiting CEOs and their direct reports for software and software-enabled services companies for more than 18 years. The vast majority of his clients are investor-backed or investor owned. He has also recruited senior information technology officers for the consumer products and services, industrial, business services and financial services sectors.
Prior to starting Lantern Partners in January 2003, he was a partner at one of the world’s largest senior executive recruiting firms, serving in the global technology practice. Chris began his career in senior executive recruitment at another global recruitment firm as a principal.
Before entering executive recruiting, Chris served as an operations and systems consultant for Andersen, where he led projects to develop and implement performance measurement management and decision support solutions for consumer services companies. Prior to that, he served as a member of the management associate program for Bank of America (formerly NationsBank).
Chris is a founding member of Social Venture Partners Chicago. He is also on the executive committee for The Illinois Technology Association, and is a board member for the SmartBet Charity Poker Tournament.
Chris is an avid fly fisherman, and outdoorsman, and spends as much time as possible in Montana. He lives in Wilmette, Illinois, with his wife Jenny, their three boys Henry, Charles, and Edward, and their two dogs George and Griff.
