Ian Devine is a family wealth and philanthropic advisor whose strategic guidance enables multiple generations to achieve more meaningful philanthropy and a sustained legacy. He engages family members in constructive dialogue, planning and action that lead to a unified direction for a family’s ongoing prosperity. Ian’s distinctive approach — based on 20 years as a consultant to private banks and asset managers, as well as the experience of his own family — is to root a family’s identity in purpose, rather than net worth, as a means of avoiding the common pitfalls of family wealth disruption.
Ian is a founding trustee of the Bellosguardo Foundation, a new arts foundation in southern California; serves as president of a small Massachusetts land trust; and is an advisor to the Huguette Clark Family Fund for Protection of Elders, a national fund to prevent financial exploitation of the elderly. He is a former board president of Jericho Project, a New York-based supportive housing organization with a special focus on homeless veterans. A Chartered Financial Analyst, Ian Devine is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of South Carolina.
