Jennie’s life mission is to engage people in social change that creates a world where people, animals and the environment can thrive. She has worked in the nonprofit sector for more two decades, along the way developing skill in leadership, management, capacity building, strategic philanthropy, facilitation, fundraising, marketing, and volunteer management.
Jennie is a graduate of the Masters in Nonprofit Management program at Regis University, a Colorado Trust Fellow, and co-author of a capacity assessment process for nonprofit organizations. In 2011 she was honored by Boulder County Business Report by being named to 40 Under Forty. She has worked and volunteered in organization’s serving at-risk youth, children in medical need, people living with HIV/AIDS, disease prevention, volunteer engagement, animal welfare, resource conservation and more. Currently she serves on the Board of Directors for Resource Central and Social Venture Partners International.
She lives with her husband, Tim, and favorite canine, Mischa, in Longmont, Colorado.
The CEO is responsible for running SVP and ensuring we successfully meet our vision and mission, working with the board, managing the day-to-day of the organization, serving as the community liaison, and public relations. Due to the size and lifecycle of SVP, Jennie also currently serves as the program director, human resources director, and finance director.
