What we’re reading: Culture Fit vs. Culture Add

With our Partner members and nonprofit participants in mind, we’re always on the lookout for trends and innovations in the nonprofit sector.

In a recent newsletter from the National Council of Nonprofits, a discussion about “culture fit” vs. “culture add” caught our attention.

When it comes to decisions around hiring – or applying for memberships, boards, commissions, or the like – it turns out that placing too much emphasis on who “fits” an organization’s culture may backfire. Learn how, and consider what it means to focus on “culture add,” instead:
