SVP is bold and bright—and we look a little bit different in each community. We invite you to get engaged in a personal way as you explore this website by selecting your own colors!
It starts with one person. One person joins many people. Together they will help build communities able to solve our most entrenched problems.
That’s SVP. A global network of local partners aligning passion and purpose.
Helping individuals realize greater impact with their giving, strengthening nonprofits, and investing in collaborative solutions – we make connections that make a difference. Connections that unleash potential.
In just a little more than two years, SVP Waterloo Region has been able to turn every $1 of grant dollars into more than $3 of nonprofit support! How do we do that? By giving more than cheques. By leveraging our financial donations with our time and talent.
This year’s SVP 2014 Impact Report shows that our three investee organizations have received more than $550,000 in total support from SVP, including $183,200 in grants plus $375,000 in volunteer time from skilled and passionate partners. Thank you partners!Read More »

Grab your gang and come on out for our Fall Family Service Night at the Food Bank of Waterloo Region. We’ll sort food as a group, break for a tour, then sort again until just before 8pm. Snacks and drinks will be provided on your break.
We ask that each group who comes brings a food donation. We are recommending a bag of groceries from their most needed items list.
Teens and age-appropriate youth will also take part in the Food Bank’s Hungry Game – a great way to learn about the needs in our community.Read More »
