Transportation Choices Coalition

Transportation Choices Coalition (TCC) brings Washingtonians more opportunities to take a bus, catch a train, walk and bike. They align different interests from across the state to work toward a common goal — more transportation choices that get you where you need to go. SVP has supported TCC since 2013, both through our multi-year capacity building grants and through our collective action grants.

Strengthening Transportation Choices Coalition

In partnership with SVP, TCC tackles projects like:

  • Fund Development: Developing a multi-year fundraising plan focused on major donors and corporate sponsorships (worked with SVP Partners Ali Friedman and Jeff Wilcox)
  • Program Evaluation: Developing a better system for measuring and evaluating TCC’s programs to determine whether its resources are being utilized most effectively to achieve its goals (worked with paid consultant Sarah Brandt, whose time was funded in part by SVP)
  • Human Resources: Creating a clearer, more robust and actionable evaluation process for the executive director  that effectively engages board members (worked with SVP Partner Christine Martin)
  • Finance: Evaluating current financial reserve policies, strengthening reserve protocols, and exploring options for investing reserves that allows for flexibility but increases our investment yield (worked with SVP Partner Dennis Gibb)
